It’s official, The Vampire Diaries
is back with it’s all new trailer for an all new season (season 7) and even if
a lot of people were concerned about it being a trainwreck, I still have hope
since the end of season 6 and this trailer just confirmed what I was expecting
: season 7 still have the opportunity to be AWESOME !
Right away, we
see how different this is from season 6 trailer. That one was focused on Elena’s
feelings, her love issues after Damon disappeared and seemed painfully dull.
Season 7 trailer looks like things are going to change. The antagonists seem
way more interesting (than Shane, Silas or the Travelers in season 4-5) and intriguing
and I adore Bonnie’s new haircut (I
know, it’s not related to the quality of the show in anyway but I had to talk
about how gorgeous it looks). I’m not trying to connect this season to season
3, I swear, but this season was The Best and there were hybrids. In season 7, another
kind of hybrids are coming to Mystic Falls (the heretics) so maybe this new
season will be as good and perfect as season 3, who knows … We can found similarities:
familial issues, hybrids, a fractured clan, violence, torture (just, please,
not too much torture this season, I hate it, seriously) so I expect a season as
good as season 2 and 3 were. Yes, I’m delusional but hope is everything!
I’ve said this
before but I truly think that Elena’s departure won’t necessarily bring The Vampire Diaries down along and, for
what it’s worth, I think that this season might be better than all three
seasons before (4, 5 & 6). Okay, you’re going to tell me that this isn’t
really complicated and you’re right but the show might be back to what it was
like at the beginning (when it was still … good). For now, we just have to wait
for October 8th 2015 in
order to FINALLY have an answer and count on me to be taped to my computer in
less than a month to tell you everything about the first episode.
